So Advent Calendar time is finally here!
Lego Star Wars revealed a very small but perfectly formed Republic Jedi diplomatic courier ship whilst Playmobil excelled with Santa's Post Box, bright red of course!
Can't wait for tomorrow....................................

Day 2
Today revealed Nute Gunray - Head of the Trade Federation and letters to post in Santa's lovely red post box. Maybe Nute should post the letters to Count Dooku or to Darth Sidious asking for a nice new blockade?
Day 3
Behind door 3 we have Santa's sack and a Droid. Clever match. The Droid can carry the sack and help out Santa deliver all those toys.
Day 4
Welcome to day 4. Sam had to build a Spider Battle Driod ( actually Sarah did - she loves Lego) and Molly now had a beautiful Playmobil Angel. It's getting more exciting with each passing day!
Day 5
No doors opened today due to excessive naughtiness. Hopefully good behaviour will return tomorrow
Day 6
Normal service has been resumed and worth the wait!
In door 5 matching hairy guys - Santa and Chewbacca. In door 6 we have a tray full of letters (none of your email nonsense for Santa) and Slave 1, Boba and Jango Fetts spaceship. Result!

Day 7
Santa now has a very nice desk for his office and Chewbacca has his sonic crossbow, a spanner and a hammer to repair the Millenium Falcon with. How wonderfully practical these Lego chaps are. Not the most exciting day but it's the small things that make the difference as Yoda always points out!
Day 8
Today the old boy was able to take the weight off his feet. Santa got a nice chair to go with his desk. Meanwhile in a galaxy far far away Darth Vader Jr has made his grand entrance. May the force be with you
Day 9
So advent fans what was today's offering?
Well things are getting serious at the North Pole. Santa now has a quill pen, and ink well and his NICE & Naughty List! So if you've been good this year then you have nothing to fear, on the other hand if you've been naughty - be afraid, be very afraid!
Meanwhile the rebellion is in full swing with a very cool X Fighter now constructed and rolled off the assembly line ready for a daring run through the Death Star's trenches - just remember to switch off your targetting system and trust the FORCE!

Day 10
It's Dec 10th and Santa has now brought out his letter stamp and ink pad as he starts sorting throught all the letters, cross checking against the naughty list and stamping for approval those letters that will go on to get their Xmas wishes as opposed to those which will end up heating the room!
The Empire has Struck Back and the evil Emperor's Shuttle has just docked - you can hear a pin drop as it comes into land, folding back it's wings and the assembled company await its occupants..........doo doo doo doo di doo

I need to share
I've been posting on Facebook to my friends the fun we're having opening advent calendars from Playmobil and Lego
Sam 4 has the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar and Molly 7 has the Playmobil Santa's Post Office Calendar.
They are both brilliant but very different and it's great fun as we open the doors/windows and then contrast and compare what we find.
People seem to like it so I've decided to repeat my posts as a blog.. Hopefully those of you who affectionately remember childhood, Star Wars and Lego will appreciate my rambling musings
Xmas is a magical time, especially for kids but really for all of us, it's our chance to remember happy, carefree times.
